Quinlan Cooney is a painter from San Francisco, California. He currently studies and teaches in Florence, Italy, at the Charles H. Cecil Studios, where he is a studio assistant. When he is not in Florence he spends his days painting the California Coast.

He draws his inspiration from the natural world and the people he meets, and believes that the only way to properly interpret his surroundings in art is by working from life. Through his art, he hopes to inspire others to spend more time looking closely at the world around them, and to appreciate the simple but often hidden beauty that is always in front of us everyday; we need only look for it to notice it.
