Commissioning a Work
Quinlan accepts portrait, landscape, and still life commissions. He always paints from life, and is happy to hear all enquires and ideas.
Portraits
Quinlan accepts portrait commissions in both charcoal and oil paint. Painting from life only, at least 4 in person sessions are necessary with the sitter, however the more sessions the better. All portraits are life size, using the old master technique of sight-size, under natural light, with the highest quality artist materials. Possible sizes include head and shoulders, head to waist, head to knees, or full length. Landscapes
Quinlan is an avid landscape painter, and is always excited to paint new views and surroundings. He only paints on location, considering the immersion in the environment an essential part of the landscape painting process. The art of painting still life scenes is as old as the art of oil painting itself.
